BEWARE SAN FRANCISCO!
Zombies will attack at IDA's 2012 Fur Free Friday Event, mark your calendars today!
Please join IDA and other local activists to speak up for animals on November 23, 2012.
This year IDA is asking activists to don zombie make up and fur coats (either donated or fake) to alert consumers to the horrors of the fur industry. If you would rather not be a zombie, fear not, we are also looking for nicely dressed activists to participate in this important day of action.
IDA will provide makeup and furs (either donated or fake) for zombies, banners, posters, and fur cards to hand out to shoppers. If you would like to volunteer to be a zombie, please let us know!
San Francisco Fur Free Friday
Where: Union Square, on the Macy's side
When: Friday, November 23, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Fur Free Friday is usually the largest demonstration of the year. Don't miss your opportunity to join with thousands of activists worldwide for this international day of action! Let's make this the best Fur Free Friday yet!
November 23 (the day after Thanksgiving) is Fur-Free Friday—the day on which animal advocates all around the globe educate holiday shoppers about the cruel fur, leather, down, and wool industries. Every year, the fur industry heartlessly kills 50 million animals (many of whom are skinned alive), the leather industry slaughters more than a billion animals annually, the down industry often plucks geese alive in order to get their down, and the wool industry subjects sheep to painful shearing.
