Benefit Concert and Art Auction for KILI Radio Station on Sunday, Oct. 28, 6 pm

Don't miss the fantastic benefit concert and art auction to help the Lakota Sioux on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation on Sunday, October 28, 6 pm at California Stage, 1723 25th Street, (25th and R), in Sacramento. The entrance is on R Street.

The benefit for KILI Radio, the Voice of the Lakota Nation, will feature music by East Bay Takojas, a traditional northern drum group, Foshang and the Jalapeno Chocolates, an Afro-Caribbean funk group, and DJ The Flower Vato Larry Rodriguez.

The silent auction will feature Sacramento and the Bay Area's finest printmakers, including Gato, Francisco Dominguez, Juan Fuentes, Art Hazelwood, Doug Minkler, Manuel Rios, Calixto Robles, Mike Rodriguez, Jos Sanches, Sue Six and Alicia Sui.

Raffles, goodies and mucho mas will be available. The event is sponsored by Tower Cafe, Sacramento Action for Latin America (SALA), the Zapatista Solidarity Coalition and the California Stage Company.

The concert/art auction is a drug and alcohol-free event. A sliding scale donation of $5 to $15 is requested.

KILI Radio is an independent, Lakota-owned and operated, 100,000 watt FM radio station located on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. KILI's broadcast area covers 30,000 square miles and includes the Pine Ridge, Cheyenne River and Rosebud Reservations, Rapid City, the southern Black Hills and the panhandle of Nebraska.

KILI connects individuals, families and communities from one end of the reservation to the other. KILI is there to celebrate Lakota lifeways, culture, history and tradition and to honor achievement and success in their communities and their nation. In 2013, KILI Radio will celebrate their 30th Anniversary as the "Voice of the Lakota Nation."
