Usually held on the first Tuesday of each month, The News is the place to see fresh, queer performance. The News spotlights spotlights queer experiments, debut works, and works-in-progress by pre-selected solo artists, groups or troupes.

In anticipation of the 2012 United States presidential election on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, The News moves to Wednesday, November 7, 2012 and invites politically themed performances.

The November edition of The News features return performers Nic Alea, Suwon Cho, Vain Hein, Shaunna Vella, Dr. Zebrovski and creator, curator and host Kolmel WithLove, as well as three performers new to The News: Dean Disaster, Jenalee Harmon and Erin Malley.
