A COMMUNITY PRESS CONFERENCE :
NO TASERS IN A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS

WHEN :
Monday October 22, 2012, 5:00 pm

WHERE :
In front of the Hamilton Recreation Center, 1900 Geary Bld., SF

WHY :
This summer, ACLU delivered a report of 532 documented Taser related deaths in the US since 2001, but that has not stopped SF Police chief Greg Suhr from pushing the 4th attempt to spend several million dollars to equip SFPD with these deadly weapons.
Tasers send 50,000 volts of electricity through the bofy of theoir targeted victims, one fourth of the death penalty electric chair charge !
In 2007, the United Nations likened Taser use to TORTURE.

HOW :
SFPD has organized a "community forum" on Tasers,
so we are holding this press conference,
half an hour before their 5:30 pm event,
to make sure the Community is heard !

* San Francisco NO_TASER Taskforce meets every Tuesdays at 5:30 pm at the SF Public Library, 100 Larkin.
