On November 7, 2012 the Department of Justice Studies at San Joe State University will host a symposium featuring prof. Frank Zimring, professor at UC Berkeley Law and author of several books on punishment, prisons, and policing in the United States.

The panel is part of the Ann Lucas Lecture Series in Law & Justice, and will feature a discussion with prof. Zimring on his latest book "The City that Became Safe: New York's Lessons for Urban Crime and its Control" (2012). Confirmed discussants include Michael Musheno (UC Berkeley), Jeff Snipes (SFSU), and Raj Jayadev (Silicon Valley De-Bug).
