Election 2012 Silenced Majority Tour
A benefit for Democracy Now! and Peninsula Peace and Justice Center
Amy Goodman is on the road for a 100-city tour running up to Election Day, going beyond the mainstream media’s obsessive focus on the latest poll numbers and candidate gaffes, to examine how people are organizing; the impacts of restrictive voter ID laws that are making it harder to vote; and how the massive influx of campaign cash following the Citizens United decision is changing how our democracy works.
Amy will be joined by Denis Moynihan, co-author of her new book, The Silenced Majority. Denis has been a Democracy Now! team member since 2001 and co-writes Amy's weekly newspaper column.
Copies of Amy & Denis' new book will be available for purchase & autographing
$15 to $25 suggested donation. All tickets are general admission
No one turned away for lack of funds. Wheelchair accessible
