Gihan Abou Zeid, Egyptian revolutionary activist and journalist, recently came to the Bay Area to finish her book and to make a series of presentations. She will discuss women's experiences at the Square, mutual help, solidarity actions, needs, hopes, & expectations for the future. Max Ventura met Gihan after Max sent items made in solidarity by the group, Occupy Knit-In. This event will partly benefit OccupyKnit-in.org to be able to mail more items. Gihan received and distributed the first box of knitted items sent by the Occupy Berkeley acivitists. She will bring a slide show and take questions from the audience.
