As always, the annual convention of the California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA) will have incisive talks, panel discussions, and workshops on vital interests such as preserving Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid; pressing for Single Payer Healthcare (Medicare for All); demanding taxation of corporations and the rich to gain more revenue and prevent even more cuts to social services.

An additional focus this year will be workshops where we discuss what changes and services are necessary to allow us the dignity and independence of aging in our homes and communities rather than nursing homes.
