FaceBook & Pintrest support dynamic STEM Program with a dozen high-achieving European students and underprivileged youth from the Bay Area as they take Silicon Valley by storm!

(San Jose, CA, July 13, 2012) – Several prestigious and emerging Silicon Valley institutions and companies including; Stanford, FaceBook, and Pintrest have partnered to welcome The European Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Education (ECLEE) student exchange summer STEM+ Program.

Students from France and the Bay Area collaborate during this comprehensive program which exposes students to the educational and entrepreneurial opportunities of Silicon Valley. STEM-Plus also develops leadership, confidence, adaptability, and focuses on mastery of non-linear problem solving skills for students interested in careers in the Sciences. Students are also required to journal daily, research, investigate, build case studies, and utilize language to both promote positive exchanges of ideas and expand their personal network beyond their private circles of influence. It, on purpose, infuses creativity and sparks curiosity within each learning/teaching situation.

This dynamic program currently has classes and activities scheduled through July 29th, 2012 in and around the Santa Clara/San Jose area.
ECLEE, The City of Palo Alto, and NorthStar Paradigm Education are the primary partners hosting this summer camp.

ECLEE is an independent international institution offering innovative methodologies and exposure to cultural diversity, leadership, management, entrepreneurial science and international business—while helping students gain self-confidence, passionate work ethic, and ability to thrive and contribute in a competitive marketplace for leaders. ECLEE strengthens workforce capabilities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and creates workforce linchpins with character education.
NorthStar’s Paradigm Based Learning (PBL) Summer Camps expose underprivileged students to careers in the new global economy (technology). They are taught to think and behave as entrepreneurs, learning to manage risk and reward, while finding and fulfilling their purpose to help themselves and uplift humanity. PBL strives to trigger paradigm shifts through real life simulations and active learning exercises.
