Join us for our volunteer training for the Tuolumne River Trust's Meadow Monitoring project. This is an ongoing project in the beautiful Stanislaus National Forest to support habitat restoration projects by conducting basic field work in several meadows in the Tuolumne River Watershed! These assessments will help us identify meadows in the greatest need for habitat restoration. Volunteers will be trained to conduct basic field work and use GPS to verify, photo document, and establish GIS locations of the meadows. They will also be trained to identify and report on various meadow health indicators including stream bank erosion, head cutting, vegetation cover and conifer encroachment. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn new skills while enjoying the beauty of the Tuolumne's upper reaches! For more information contact paige [at] tuolumne.org.
