Later this year, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the case of Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin. Fisher involves a challenge to the constitutionality of the University of Texas' consideration of race as one factor in a holistic, individualized review of about 25 percent of its undergraduate applicants' admissions profiles.

The Asian American Center for Advancing Justice will be filing an amicus brief in the case supporting race-conscious admissions. We will discuss how Fisher affects Asian and Pacific Islanders (APIs), the arguments made in Advancing Justice's amicus brief, and the question of APIs and affirmative action generally.
