On the surface, Ertuğrul Kürkçü seems to be an adversary of the Islamist forces at work in Turkey with his article of Operation Gladio, but his view on integrating the Koran into the school system is what the right-wing Islamists want. This is the same type of tactic the Gulan movement is accused of. Getting into government under the guise of mainstream or even progressive politics. And once you're in, you fight to impose an Islamist totalitarian state.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s dream to raise a more “pious generation” is one step closer to reality with new education reforms that include optional Koran courses for children as young as 11 years old. -------
"The reforms are not only about integrating the Koran into the national education system,” says Ertugrul Kurkcu, an opposition MP from the pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy party. “It will integrate the ministry of religious affairs, or Diyanet, into the national education system because the system now comes from a secular tradition and does not have the resources to deliver such an education.”

Kürkçü openly says from a critical standpoint that, since the government will not be able to find the necessary amount of teachers for koranic courses from within the bulk of secular teachers in the national education siystem will inevitably integrate the Diyanet in the national education. He in the video too expresses his opposition to the Koranic courses very openly, and voted against the legislation during the parliamentary debate. Who is this person anonymously lying?
