SF Housing Authority Meeting on Wait-List Preferences

Tuesday, May 8, 9 AM – 12 noon
1251 Turk St. (Rosa Parks Apts.)
(betw. Webster & Buchannan., # 22. 31 buses)

The SF Housing Authority has 30,000 people waiting for 6,000 Public Housing units, and 10,000 people waiting for 7,000 Section 8 vouchers run by the City. So many wait years for housing and many never get it from the City. This hearing allows people to voice whether peoples’ movement up the list should be on a first-come-first-served basis, or should there be preferences for seniors, people with disabilities, the homeless, domestic violence victims, etc. Written comments can be emailed to lmartin [at] sfha.org by May 18.
