Over 7 local groups of grassroots underground music (punk, acoustic, noise, electronic & dance) will perform to benefit the Hansel & Gretel Co-op Preschool. The school operates in nearby El Sobrante CA and serves many new families who learn not only parenting-- but being in a co-op. Hansel & Gretel was created in WW2 as women worked 24 hours in the ship yards in Richmond CA. Gilman St. is a long running all volunteer "Punk" music space. The space will open early and have activities fun for kids..after 5pm amplified music from One Click Riot, Criticism, American Splits, Bobby Joe Ebola, Cher Horowitz, Body Glove, Heco Music Machine & Jeff Rowe will delight. This is a rare chance to sow the seeds to a future counter-culture--that the Bay Area is so renown for.
