A west coast native, Carina Lomeli, spent her younger years in Santiago Tangamandapio, Michoacan, Mexico. (Life in Mexico was filled with the struggles of all her relatives that lived in the same block. At the same time religion and traditions were almost militant, she di...scovered slowly the contradictions in a catholic life but also learned how important it is for an individual to participate in community based events. It became second nature to sing in front of crowds planting a seed of creativity for her future years. Religiously and musically influenced she ventured to Phoenix, Arizona to discover her niche for story telling through the arts and struggles of the people. Carina is not only a revolutionary conservationist but also an activist working daily with the non-profit organization POOR Magazine, and collaporates with P.O.W.E.R (Mission District SF) and AIM West. All, which stand for: the advocacy, assistance and education to any person struggling in this broken capitalistic system. My own contribution to the education consists of visual or literary art, film, media and basic computer skills available in English and Spanish. Her art fuels her humanitarian ability to support not only her beliefs but also the community she loves./

Como una nativa de la costa oeste, Carina Lomeli, pasó sus años de juventud en Santiago Tangamandapio, Michoacán, México. (La vida en México estaba llena de luchas con toda su famila que vivían en el la misma quadra). Al mismo tiempo, la religión y las tradiciones eran casi militante, y discubrio poco a poco las contradicciones de una vida católica, pero también aprendio que importante es para una persona que participe en los eventos de comunidad. Se convirtió segunda naturaleza cantar frente a muchas personas que sembro una semilla de creatividad en sus años del futuro. Religiosamente y musicalmente influida ella se aventuró a Phoenix, Arizona, para descubrir su especialidad para contar historias a través de el arte y enseñar las luchas del pueblo. Carina no sólo es conservacionista revolucionaria, sino también una activista que trabaja al diario con Prensa POBRE una organización sin fin de lucro, y collapora con PODER (Mission District SF) y el AIM Oeste(west) Todos, que significan: la defensa, asistencia y educación a cualquier persona que está luchando en este roto sistema capitalista. "Mi propia contribución a la educación consiste en el arte visual o literal, el cine, los medios de comunicación y las habilidades básicas de computación disponibles en Inglés y Español." Su arte llena su capacidad humanitaria para apoyar no sólo sus creencias, sino también a la comunidad que ama.
