3101 Shattuck Avenue at Prince Street 2 blocks from Ashby BART in Berkeley The Alameda County Peace and Freedom Party and Movement presents a discussion, possibly debate, on the past , present and future of OCCUPY! Wall St., Chicago, LA, Atlanta, Charleston (both West Virginia and South Carolina), Dallas, Fairbanks, Oakland, etc., etc., etc. Has it been only been six months since the first tents were pitched in Manhattan? Where does the movement go from here? To be a growing mass movement dedicated to fighting the "1%", i.e., the ruling class, by any means necessary? OR To be co-opted into becoming a Democratic Party version of the Tea Party, a GOTV (Get Out the Vote) operation for Nov 2012? Speakers will include Sri Louise and James Vann Sat, April 7, 2012 • 1pm-4pm At the Starry Plough Pub 3101 Shattuck Ave at Prince FREE! (But please buy food & drink at the Pub.) This is part of our on-going Socialist Forum Series on the first Saturday of every month from 1-4 pm. The featured panel will start promptly at 1:30 pm and the forum should end by 3:30 pm, but you can stay and talk as long as you like.
