With rallies for Trayvon Martin going on all across the country, why can't there be one here in Oakland? The FTP marches have been getting smaller and smaller each Saturday, and has not drawn alot of support from the rest of the community. I think that it is time to start to re-direct our time and efforts into causes that we all can come together in solidarity around. Justice for Trayvon Martin right now is one of those causes.
As of now, 4:50 p.m., pacific time, 3/25/12, there are 1.9 million signatures on the petition for Trayvon Martin at

This is the mass movement you need to build a workingclass movement to get rid of all police departments, the prison industrial complex, legalize all drugs to end the prison pipeline, and abolish the death penalty. There are 310 million people in this country so the petition still has more signatures to gather. All aboard the Trayvon Martin Freedom Train and sign the petition today!

These FTP marches were never approved by the GA. Notice how they trying to use the BBQs to promote FTP marches. FTP marches in East Oakland would be a disaster. Once the white folks leave, the police will get vengeance and come down hard on everyone.

It is funny the last comment about approval from the GA (which is used by the United Nations ie. Rockerfeller institution). The Oakland movement is not governed by the mostly white Kumbaya slactivists which we had not seen occupy anything since November 15th. The GA never approved the vigil or tree-sit or has given any money except 100 dollars over a brilliant 9 and half weeks of occupying the Oscar Grant Plaza, Candy Asses. The Tree people, Vigil and the Tactical Action committee are made up of warriors and mostly people of color and will continue to fight but are not governed by SLACTIVISTS. We always encourage inclusion (a diversity of tactics) of the GA but does not want a gentle kinder beast (USA) but of a Indigenous revolution. The GA also approved the return of Oakland to the Ohlone people. We need to do what our name is Occupy (Oscar Grant Plaza) instead of voting on one day bullshit like January 28th debacle (orchestrated by the OPD). Winter rest is over get your tents ready.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
