CNA DeMaro Missing In Action MIA On Millionaires Tax And Oil Extraction Tax?
The CNA says it is supporting the California Millionaires tax but you won't find anything about this on their CNA website and they refuse to kick in any serious money for the initiative. It maybe because they don't want to attack Jerry Brown who the actively upported.
CNA DeMaro Missing In Action MIA On Millionaires Tax And Oil Extraction Tax?
Despite the supposed endorsement of the Millionaires Tax by the California Nurses Association they apparently don't want anyone to know about it and are not spending any money to get it on the ballot. They continual talk about attacking the banks and insurance companies but are silent on their web page about support for these initiatives. Maybe they don't want to make Governor Jerry Brown angry. Brown who has taken $300,000 from the Occidental Oil Company for his regressive tax initiative. If that is the case all the talk about fighting the billionaires and 1% is only really Talk.

CNA members: Nurses protect patients
Genel Morgan, RN and Rita LaBarge, RN - To suggest that nurses who fight to provide safe care every minute of every day are using the death of one of our patients for our own gain is genuinely disturbing. One only has to view the video of the candlelight vigil held honoring Judith Ming to recognize palpable grief in all of our faces as we honored the life of a patient caught in the crosshairs of a system gone awry. —San Francisco Chronicle OpEd, 09/30/11 More »
