Larry Everest writes for Revolution newspaper (, and is the author of Oil, Power & Empire: Iraq and the U.S. Global Agenda. In 1979 and 1980, Everest covered the Iranian revolution, reporting from Tehran, including interviewing Islamists holding the U.S. Embassy, and Iranian Kurdestan. He’s also reported from Iraq, Palestine, and India; testified before the 2005 World Tribunal on Iraq in Istanbul; and helped organize the 2005-2006 Bush Crimes Commission.

Dr. Stephen Zunes is Professor of Politics and International Studies at the University of San Francisco where he chairs the program in Middle Eastern Studies. Prof. Zunes serves as a senior policy analyst for the Foreign Policy in Focus project of the Institute for Policy Studies, an associate editor of Peace Review, and chair of the academic advisory committee for the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict.
