Dressed as factory workers, members of the Raging Grannies performed their own rendition of the street dance style known as "The Robot" at a protest in front of the Apple store in Palo Alto. The same day, Apple had announced in the morning that the Fair Labor Association (FLA) started its first inspections at a factory in Shenzhen, one of the largest plants in China, where many Apple products are manufactured.

Responding to breaking news from Apple, the Grannies demonstrated in front of the store and distributed flyers questioning the effectiveness of FLA inspections. The Grannies said that the Fair Labor Association's funding comes from the organizations it monitors, creating a conflict of interest, and asked why Apple doesn't use US unionized labor instead.
