Defend Kaiser Healthcare Workers & Patient Care-NUHW-CNA SF Picket
Kaiser NUHW and CNA workers went out on strike on January 31, 2012.
They took strike action against Kaiser's demands for the end of a defined
pensions and increased charges for healthcare for themselves and their
families. They are also attacking the benefits of part time workers.
National Union Of Healthcare Workers NUHW members also
discussed how Kaiser is stalling mental health patients and patients from
addictions from getting quick care despite their critical healthcare needs.
Workers also discussed the role of the SEIU UHW leadership in moving
to make major concessions and forcing the other unions on the property
to take similar concessions. The strike took place statewide and these
interviews took place at the San Francisco Kaiser hospital complex.

You might think of changing the title of the story since NUHW are just as greedy as the forces they fight against. SEIU may have been no angel, but Sal Rosselli is just another thug. The union is already morally bankrupt and will soon be financially bankrupt as well. Why can't you be the model of who you say you are? How can NUHW be the hope of what unions can be when they still play backdoor dirty pool? They are at it again, planning to raid raid AFSCME Local 3299 of it's patient care workers. They have no care for who they run over in the process including members they serve! Don't believe the hype they feed the public. They are a mob robbing units of their current representation in order to feed their over-bloated egos and feed the illusion of their own job security.
Be careful with who represents you. Hold them accountable. Watch them like hawks. And don't put up with any BS!
