Second round of photos from January 28th.

After several attempts at kettling marchers, OPD finally trapped us at 23rd and Broadway in front of the YMCA. OPD officers who arrested us claimed that we were given dispersal orders at 3PM and that this order remained in effect at 7:40 when they arrested us. Myself along with two other journalists (that I witnessed) were swept up in the kettle and arrested along with close to 300 marchers.

Beginning of the second march. Rumors swirled in the crowd that Occupiers were going to take the Travellers Aid Building. When we arrived at the destination, workers had barricaded themselves in and were replacing glass in the windows. With the Travellers Aid building unavailable, the march snaked around Uptown. OPD followed and tried to kettle the snake march on 4 separate occasions.

An OUSD teacher yells at the line cops about being detained with nowhere to go. The officers wouldn't answer whether or not marchers were being detained. At this point in the march, no order for dispersal had been given.
