7 PM ~ Jackson & LaSalle
CHICAGO 1/29 -- Last night, the Oakland, CA police and city government used violence and terror against the peaceful demonstrators of Occupy Oakland, firing tear gas, smoke grenades, "flash bang" grenades, and bean bags at the crowd. A solidarity march will be held in Chicago at Jackson and LaSalle at 7pm, Sunday, January 29th, in conjunction with actions in New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and elsewhere.
Due to time constraints, this event has not been submitted for endorsement to the Occupy Chicago General Assembly.
