Come join Carolyn Brandy, maybe Jackie and some other Sistah Boom drummers for an opening Drum Circle at Oakland Occupy Patriarchy's kickoff event tomorrow, Sunday, Jan 8th, from noon-4pm at 19th & Telegraph - one bock from 19th St BART and on #1 bus line!
The event is a build-up for the long-term Occupy Patriarchy occupation and will feature music, workshops, games for kids, actions, a free market, and a potluck at 4pm.
Bring your drums, percussion instruments, folding chairs, if you can, or just BE THERE!
The circle starts at noon sharp! There will be a drumming workshop following the circle as well!
