Rally: Stanford Students say "Occupy!"
Faculty and students who support the Occupy Movement rallied at Stanford University today.
Students at Stanford University say they feel the Occupy protests have accomplished a great deal especially in bringing forth a public response to the glaring inequalities of wealth and income in American society. They say that the future of our country that is at stake and that they hope to help shape the future.
A coalition of faculty, staff, undergraduate, and graduate students called on the entire Stanford community, including the broader community, to join in a rally at White Plaza.
Students say they are motivated by several key issues. The first is the deep and growing division between the have and have-nots. Across multiple areas of life—health, education, income, housing—they are appalled to see the greatest inequalities the U.S. has known since at least the Great Depression.
