12/5 Stop Sexual Harassment And It's Cover-Up At SF MTA-Muni Against TWU 250 A Operators
On 12/5 Defend SF TWU Muni 250 A Operator Cynthia Carter-Fired For Fighting Sexual Harassment December 5, 2011 2:00 PM San Francisco Civil Service Commission Rm 408 San Francisco City Hall Polk and McAllister St. San Francisco TWU 250A Operator Cynthia Carter was being harassed on the job by a SF Muni supevisor. She spoke out and was retaliated by the management. Instead of backing her up the Muni MTA bosses prevented her from getting her files and other information to show the systemic harassment against her by her supervisor. They withheld files which she had to go to the San Francisco Sunshine Commission. The manager of documents refused to even show up for the SF Sunshine Hearing to explain why the files were not provided. It turns out that this MTA Muni boss is a political hack put in place according to some city workers because she is the girlfriend of former Mayor Willie Brown's son. The nepotism and corruption at SF MTA Muni is well known to SF TWU 250 drivers. There is a systemic effort to fire those who speak up for health and safety and oppose harassment including in the case of Cynthia Carter. Come to the San Francisco Civil Service Hearing on Monday December 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at San Francisco City Hall Rm. 408 and speak out against this injustice.
