Should You Boycott Time Warner? 49 Reasons

If you have options besides Time Warner, please use them.

Time Warner
1. on CNN promotes war
2.
Anti war and environmental activists have had more computer
outages than others.
3. is responsible for the scheduled end of free television after
60 years in the US.. scheduled for 2009.
(Bill Clinton signed the mid 90's Telecommunication Act
which concentrated the holdings of Time Warner, Rupert
Murdoch and others)
4. Time Warner has used monopoly tactics everywhere..
It has been particularly aggressive in fighting low cost
or free internet access in Philadelphia.
5. Time Warner pricegouges with absurdly high rates
for internet access, cable, and phone
6. Time Warner requires payment in advance each month,
has a variety of add on charges from $5 for electronic bill
payment, to late charges.

are available for return when they close their accounts

security numbers (as does ATT), not informing them that a request for this number is illegal and that they
have a privacy right to refuse.

Even then, Time Warner violates them by putting their SSN on their files from illegal acquisition of SSN numbers.

European democracies give all candidates publicly funded
access.

in the 2 biggest parties from media coverage and debate.
15. Time Warner's magazines such as Time, Sports Illustrated,
Warner Books are involved
in deforestation, destruction of animal habitat, are factors
in increased global heating.
16. Time Warner Cable promotes barbaric rodeos and hunting
shows.
17. Through its preponderance of fast food advetising, Time
Warner has been a big factor in making America the world's
fattest nation.
18. Time Warner excludes Muslims from anchor and reporter
positions, has a much lower percentage of Muslim employees
than their percent of the population. Its anchor Wolf Blitzer
is not announced as a former reporter for the Jerusalem Post.
TW has virtually no Muslim anchors.
19. War promotion cartels control radio with warwhore
shockjocks like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. But on
tv, the 2 way street is totally blocked. The citizens of the
US are muzzled. TV is a one way programming machine.
20. Subliminal advertising has been a frequent tool of
electronic media.
21. The people of the US are the owners of our air waves.
Yet these airwaves have been rented at firesale prices to
war profiteers who make hundreds of billions of dollars off of

world. Sports Illustrated portrays women as objectified pieces
of meat.

August Georgia which excludes women.
25. Time Warner is used to covering up the news. When it does
air whistleblowers, it is usually about past and not present
wars. When the military objected to its story about the use
of sarin gas by the military to murder defectors in Vietnam,
CNN not only retracted the story. It fired the whistleblowers.
26. Beer ads increase car fatalities, domestic battering,
cirrhosis of the liver, etc.
27. Saturation food ads are noted by international observers,
who say American tv has more commercials encouraging
eating than do other countries. This is a factor in American
obesity.

restaurant chains that it be the channel for tv's in the facilities.
This is a further involvement in slaughterhouse products.

take responsibility for the easy hacking of its customers
it allows nor does it have adequate protection against such
hacking.
35. Time Warner advertises pieces of murdered animals,
adding to animal agony, disease, American obesity, energy
waste etc.
Those working to defeat McCain have been harrassed by frequent
computer outages.
36.
When people who work from their homes are subjected to outages,
they lose sometimes hundreds or thousands of dollars a day.. yet
Time Warner reimburses them only 1.50 a day.
37. Besides the excessive food ads correlated to obesity,
the alcohol ads which help cause driver fatalities, domestic
battering, liver disease etc., the profiteering from election
ads, are the excessive unregulated number of ads
Time Warner and other networks inflict on the public.

More issues

In a conspicuous omission, Time Magazine, the deforesting warmongering magazine of Time Warner, a magazine
which has never met a US president's war it didn't like, omitted mentioning the real target of
the recent Arizona shooting of a congresswoman. It was federal judge John Roll.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/10/us/10judge.html
The Huffington Post as well downplayed the murder of John Roll while focusing
on the injured but alive Ms Giffords.
