Oakland Chamber of Commerce Represents Big Business and Multi-Nationals NOT Oaklanders

by Anti-Cap
Knowing who the Oakland Chamber of Commerce represents, it is not surprising that they would vociferously object to the politics of Occupy Oakland. Disingenuously, the chamber claims to speak for Oaklanders as it bullies and collaborates with local politicians to violently roust Occupy Oakland from Oscar Grant Plaza. Yet a quick perusal of board members makes clear who the chamber really speaks for: big business and multi-national corporations, some of whom have already been shut down during Occupy Oakland actions. Little wonder then that Paul Junge and Joseph Haraburda of the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, along with pliant Oakland council members such as Desley Brooks and Ignacio De La Fuente, literally yell at the top of their lungs, "Occupy Oakland must go!"
