Estimates of how much the current wars have cost us range from 1 to 4 trillion dollars. The cost of tax cuts to the top 5% are estimated to be over a trillion dollars. Through increasing austerity measures, it is the middle and working classes that are paying the escalating costs of our militarized budget.

Gil Villagran, a San Jose State University social work lecturer, will be doing a special Veteran's Day teach-in on the question of class and class conflict, and its importance in thinking about the problems of the 99%. He will also talk about how class factors into the current wars and military recruitment.

Not only do you hurt the visibility of your event because your event is not statewide and it's unlikely people are searching for statewide actions, but you make more work for Indybay volunteers who might notice the incorrect classification. We have to go back and reclassify your events. That's time we'd rather spend doing other things on the website.

Thank you.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
