Labor, act to defend the right to protest

by eugean17
Many unions have come out in support of the right of the occupy movement to hold their encampments. Perhaps most powerfully the Teamsters and ILWU. Now is the time in Oakland to see paper resolutions turn to action. The unions have the numbers and most importantly the social power, to back off the capitalists state powers. The unions could be at the core of a protest that leads to the firm re establishment of Occupy Oakland in the face of the recent police attack.

While numerous pols should be denounced for today's violent Police attack on '' Occupy Oakland ' the role of Sharon Cornu should be especially noted .
Cornu , Chief of Staff for Mayor Quan , is the former head of the Alameda Central Labor Council ! That someone who comes out of our movement should be directly involved in approving the Cop takedown of the camp is outrageous !!
She should be roundly condemmed .
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
