October 19th: "It's been over a month since members of SaveKPFA submitted petitions seeking a recall vote against KPFA board member and Pacifica Treasurer Tracy Rosenberg. The response from Pacifica? Complete silence. KPFA staff confirm Pacifica has finally turned over the signatures for validation against KPFA's member database"
Truth:
Here is an e-mail from the LSB-secretary Craig Alderson, a Save KPFA-affiliated individual, confirming that he did not drop off the signed petitions until after October 8th and another where he states Pacifica's response is expected by October 26th. (Note that it is not yet October 26th).
You will also note that board vice-chair Conn Hallinan was copied on Alderson's second email, making it clear the email blast is a dishonest attack - and a lie.

Andrew,
As we discussed earlier today, the procedure adopted by the PNB in 2009 is below. The relevant section at this moment is #2, according to which you have 10 working days (not calendar days) in which to certify the petition. That would make the deadline October 26, which is about what you figured. Once you get the report from Chris Stehlik, you'll need to forward that to me with a statement of how many signatures are required (i.e., equal to 2% of the current membership) and how many validated. The timeline for the election is calculated from the date you notify me. So that's where we are.

The reason they are late in turning in the petitions is they know they will lose the vote, but they will certainly drain Pacifica of needed funds. That is the goal of the entire Thug Hallinan Gang: To destroy Pacifica and KPFA by draining it financially. They knew their dozen or so NLRB charges would fail but they went ahead with that anyway to drain Pacifica and KPFA of needed funds which were paid for the necessary and successful legal defense. They will keep doing this until you learn not to vote for the Thug Hallinan Gang. Any list that has the Hallinans on it must be rejected. It is the millionaire Hallinans who pay for the slick mailers and all the rest of their campaigns.
The lesson learned last December was that the primary fundraiser must be in December, when people receive bonuses and when those who itemize deductions look for tax writeoffs. KPFA is a tax deductible charity. Hopefully, KPFA will have their December fundraiser not only the week of the bonus check, December 15, but for 18 solid days in December, from December 1 through 18, so it can pay for this phony election as well as all KPFA's needs until the February fundraiser. Most of us do not attend the Money Season gift racket but we can and do contribute to the December fundraiser.
Tracy Rosenberg is a very bright young lady and deserves our 100% support. This is vicious anti-women hatred from the Thug Hallinan Gang. If you give at least $25 now, you can vote No on this recall. We are the many; they are the few, but you must vote to save KPFA and Pacifica by voting No on the recall of Tracy Rosenberg. We Love Tracy Rosenberg!
