DON'T LET CITY HALL STEAL YOUR VOTE!

Please join us tonight for fun & fundraising at a benefit for NOPE, No on Props E & F (formerly the Friends of Ethics, Committee Opposed to Measures E & F). Sponsors attending include the Friends of Ethics, SF Tenants Union, SF Democratic Party Chair Aaron Peskin, and more.

WHY: Prop E would allow the Board of Supervisors or the Mayor to overturn any measure passed by voters! (More info below.)
WHAT: A family-friendly evening of political fun & fundraising for the No on Props. E & F campaign.
No-host bar, great pub fare available for order.
WHEN: 6:00--8:00 p.m. tonight, Thursday, October 13th.
WHERE: Buck's Tavern, 1665 Market St. between Gough & Octavia. Easy access from public transit (F, MUNI Metro, 6, 14, 47, 49, and 71).
COST: Sliding scale donation, $10-$1000.
No one turned away for lack of funds.

Separate donation for drawing for lunch with a political dignitary.
Bring your checkbook or cash.

Proposition E is the most dangerous thing on the San Francisco ballot. If it passes, the rest of what's on the ballot--and however you vote on those other items--won't matter: Prop E allows the Mayor or the Board of Supervisors to amend and repeal voter-approved laws. Rent Control and dedicated funding for the library system, for instance, could be on the chopping block if Prop E passes.

Prop E's twin sister Proposition F is equally anti-democratic, allowing the Board or the notoriously weak Ethics Commission to loosen or kill requirements for disclosures by campaign consultants. Prop F means more stealth lobbying, more secret donations, more backroom deals.
