As people of color and queer people of color participating in Occupy Oakland, we wanted to expand the discussion around this growing movement. For many of the communities we are a part of, participating in direct actions and occupations are not a tangible form of political action. Not because we do not desire radical social change, but because we are already heavily policed and constantly targeted by the state.
This is a visual campaign that we hope to compliment the growing Occupation movement. Let's expand the dialogue around the collapse of Wall Street beyond the economy.
¿How does our crumbling economy exacerbate this nation's Racist institutions? ¿Why isn't sexism and gender discrimination being being discussed to the same extent of our Economy?
