With four Bay Area artists participation, this is a traveling exhibit that makes a powerful statement on a nearly invisible reality. The 18 panels created by international and US artists help us imagine the experience of Afghan civilians - from death and destruction to hopes for peace. Exhibit is in Kalmanovitz Hall, 7 am - 8pm, Monday through Friday. Thursday, October 13, 7 pm McLaren Conference Center, Room 252 "Counter-terrorism to Counter-insurgency and After: Exit Strategies for Afghanistan" -- Keally D. McBride, Assoc. Professor of Politics, Chair of Peace and Justice Studies, USF, and and Matt Southworth, President DC Chapter IVAW and Friends Committee on National Legislation staff Thursday, October 20, 7 pm "Institution Building and Civil Society" Maraschi Room in Fromm Hall, USF Featuring Suraya Sadeed, Help the Afghan Children; Peter Lems, American Friends Service Committee, Dr. Stephen Zunes, USF Co-sponsored by afghans for Afghans Visits by groups are encouraged.
