Can Sesame Street protect National Public Radio from Tea Party sharks?

by Tortuga Bi LIBERTY
New NPR head may be a safe choice,
politically.
......
Tea Party predators have enjoyed several recent opportunities
in their cultural and political wars against America --
like ham-fisting blunders by NPR executives.
"Executives"? Those are the guys one rarely hears of, until they stick a tender appendage into a political meat-grinder.
These have not apparently been the creative people of public broadcasting.

Certainly they're not the voices
one hears on the radio.
The brand-new chief executive may know about creativity,
since he comes from Sesame Street. Let's hope so.

At any rate, he may be able to defend NPR from its
would-be executioners. Because Sesame Street is immensely popular with parents, even many Republicans.
Still, he's not a journalist, nor a radio person.
This may worry some fans of NPR News. I wait and listen.
