9 UC Officers @ Tree Sit: 8/30 after 10PM
A patrol of 9 UC Berkeley officers arrived as a group at the tree sit in People's Park on 8/30 some time between 10 and 10:30PM. There was no activity by protesters at the tree sit at the time.
Moonshato was told by police that he was trespassing and in violation of curfew. Officers did a sweep of the park, checking for other people breaking curfew.

The delusional, self important belief that police response is indication of a fear that the tree sit is working is a complete fallacy,
"Oh wow! there's an article about the tree sit in the Daily Californian, and I'm interviewed on a nightly news show. Consciousness is really being transformed now!"
Theatrics are not going to change the problems confronting People's park. I am sure the automatic reaction to this point is something like: "oh, so you think people should just sit back and do nothing and remain at the very core of our problems?" The real problem is the banality of approach on the part of those believing they're specialists in change.
Of coarse nobody gives a shit, is that surprising? At the most, a few people are amused, but the tree sit getting media attention, and police repression doesn't mean it's a harbinger of change. It's the same old, same old, and frankly it's boring and stupid.
