Anonymous' Second OpBART Protest Shuts Civic Center for Hours, 8/22/11: photos, 2 of 2

by dave id
Anonymous called for a second BART protest on August 22nd. Those who had gathered at Civic Center street-level had previously marched on Market, leading BART to close the Powell Street station repeatedly, and then returned to the Civic Center area. These photos are a continuation of the photo series begun at http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/08/25/18688634.php and cover a march that began in the evening.

A few women were beaten by police running up from Larkin. Over 30 people were detained, including about a half dozen journalists. At least two journalists without passes or credentials were able to show police their web pages in order to secure their own release. The rest were arrested, booked, and released later in the night.

to a multi race person, those black cops are very disappointing. they do not realize that the white supremacy country wants to keep races bunkerized. many black people do not realize that multi race people are profiled by even ''black'' cops. very disappointing. that is why these ''demonstrations'' must go on as long as anyone wants them to.
