Anonymous - Operation Fullerton #OpFullerton demands prosecution, resignation, & lump sum

by anon
Greetings Citizens of Fullerton, California - We Are Anonymous

Like the rest of the world, we have heard the screams of Kelly Thomas. We heard him scream stop, sorry, and finally dad. Since then we have been rallying troops to help this great cause. Whether it be spreading messages on IRC or tweeting, we have had a great reception from our Anonymous brothers and sisters. This is not just a brutal attack against another human being, but an attack against human rights.

For too long the public has "accepted" the spin from the police. Already they have begun libeling him by publishing documents about his mental illness to sway support towards the police. At the same time, the videos from the cruisers and the surveillance camera, which could instantly alibi their officers is still yet to be released. What is it that they are trying to hide ? Why is it that former Fullerton Police Chiefs sit on the city council ?

Who is it conducting the investigation ? The DA who uses testimonys from the same officers as truth to put criminals in jail. Also, what about the 2008 charges brought against Officer Albert Rincon for sexually abusing two women in the back of his squad car. Ironically enough, the city of Fullerton offered them $7,500 in a settlement. They also offered $900,000 to the father of Kelly Thomas, who rightfully and morally rejected the offer.

This is very unsettling to say the least. It is clear that while the police try to stonewall the public, the city is willing to use tax payer funds as hush, and in this case, blood money. The government of Fullerton, like the city of Sodam and Gomorrah clearly has a broken moral compass, and as such will be smitten from the interwebz as our fleet draws near.

We will begin to treat the web assets of the police, city government - and any other targets we deem in support or a cause of this incident with as much mercy as was shown to Kelly Thomas. He may have been silenced, but his screams will live on forever, and we will join him as Operation Fullerton.

Anonymous and the world hereby make the following demands:

1) We demand the prosecution of Officers Jay Cicinelli, Kenton Hampton, Manny Ramos, Joe Wolfe, James Blatney, and anyone else involved in the gruesome beating, torture, and murder of Kelly Thomas.

2) We demand the immediate resignation of the Chief of Police in Fullerton, California.

3) We demand that the City of Fullerton immediately pay a lump sum settlement of no less than 5 million dollars to the legal survivors of Kelly Thomas.

Until these demands are met, you can expect two things. First your city will be the target of rolling street protests and occupations of public space.

And you can expect Anonymous; we now officially launch "Operation Fullerton". We will begin dismantling the City of Fullerton's interwebz starting tomorrow at high Noon Pacific Time. We will remove from the world wide web the site belonging to the Fullerton Police Department located at http://www.ci.fullerton.ca.us/depts/police - and in addition we will Black Fax and E-Mail Bomb every inbox at the Fullerton City Police Department. This cyber action by Anonymous will be accompanied by a protest on the ground tomorrow.

This is only the beginning, we will slowly but surely begin attacking the web assets of the City of Fullerton - until we have dismantled your web and taken from you all your communications channels. And if our demands are still not met, we will widen the circle to include many other web sites and organizations in Fullerton.

We Are Anonymous - We Are Everywhere - We Are Legion - We Never Forget - We Never Forgive - EXPECT US

by "Kelly's Law" to stop police violence
Am proposing "Kelly's Law" in honor of Kelly Thomas and in a national effort to stop police beatings, killings and abuses of homeless and mentally ill residents.

It is common sense that six adult males with several months of training should be able to restrain a single adult male without causing ANY injuries, let alone beating someone into a coma, then causing Kelly's "mysterious" (according to the OC coronor) death in the hospital only days after the most vicious and cruel beating at the hands of uniformed thugs calling themselves police officers.

Maybe the OC coronor would have people believe that Kelly Thomas died from the flu, and that the beating he recieved from the six Fullerton gang of thugs was only coincidence?! Sorry, but we the people are NOT idiots!!

The proposed "Kelly's Law" would make it a criminal act for police officers to beat anyone into submission when there are safe restraint techniques available that do NOT involve beating someone in the head with fists, feet, or other objects like Tasers.

This would apply to homeless people, mentally ill and people under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Proper safe restraint techniques under Kelly's Law;

1) Call for backup. It is not "sissy" to ask other police for help when restraining someone. More police available to restrain an individual should result in less injuries. Change police culture that makes calling for backup seem a "sissy" act.

2) One officer for each limb, plus the head. If an individual is resisting, all that is needed is five officers, one for holding down each limb, and one for holding the head steady in case of seizure and head banging. Instead of police using hands for punching and hitting the person, they are instead using their hands to steady, support and calm the individual.

3) If the individual continues to resist, lift and carry the person into the car, or a stretcher onto an ambulance in restraints. Then transport to a psych unit for evaluation.

If these three simple steps are followed, the probable outcome would be the individual who was resisting was transported to a safe place WITHOUT ANY INJURIES!!!

It is sad that we need to instruct the police how to do their jobs, this should have been covered in police acadamy training, you DO NOT BEAT SOMEONE IN THE HEAD IF YOU WANT TO RESTRAIN THEM!!!

No more excuses for police thugs. We can enforce "Kelly's Law" from a legal perspective or from a vigilante perspective, the choice is up to us. IF the judicial system fails to obtain justice for Kelly Thomas, then we the people will become our own system with our own laws and pursue justice for Kelly independent of the hopelessly corrupt U.S. judicial system.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander, thugs masquerading as police can also be removed from the physical plane if that is what is needed. God never had problems with people who took matters into their own hands for the purpose of seeking justice for the oppressed who suffered greatly at the hands of the tyrants and bullies. God wants nothing more than for us to put the bullies and tyrants into the ground, as the worms are always looking to recycle some rotten meat!!
