Supporters of the 45,000 CWA-IBEW striking Verizon workers picketed at a Verizon wireless store near Market and Stockton in San Francisco. The company is demanding major concessions including cutbacks in healthcare and pensions.

A solidarity action took place on August 9, 2011 at a Verizon Wireless store
near Stockton and Market St. in San Francisco for the Verizon workers
who are on strike in the East Coast. Members of CWA locals and others joined
the picket to support the 45,000 CWA and IBEW workers. The Verizon wireless
store was mostly empty during the picket as people supported the action and did
not enter the store.
