10 a.m. to Noon Aug 6-Hiroshima Day KPFA 94.1 FM Labor News & Anti-Nuclear Information
Today, August 6, Hiroshima Day, from 10 a.m. to Noon, on KPFA, 94.1 FM Workweekradio.org ias having a 2 hour special of labor news regarding Wisconsin and elsewhere and promoting peace on this 66th Anniversary of the US nuclear attack on Hiroshima, which was followed on August 9 by another nuclear attack on Nagasaki, to warn the world, and especially the American ally in WW2, the Soviet Union, which was poised to invade Japan as the war in Europe ended in May 1945, that the 20th Century was to be the American imperialist century. This horrifying, racist finale to WW2 was immediately followed in the US by an equally outrageous attack on labor, the anti-communist witchhunts of the 1940s and 1950s, that destroyed US labor as a fighting force. That must change today if we and the planet are to survive.
