Iran criticizes USA over Harding murder
Khatami denounces SFPD for $2 murder
Ayat. Khatami cautions against any act provoking insecurity
Tehran, July 22, IRNA – Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami says no measure should be taken that would lead to insecurity, which is what enemy exactly wishes.
Delivering his second Friday prayers sermon here at Tehran University campus, Ayatollah Khatami said, “Realities should be seen as they are. We should avoid creating an atmosphere that would make the country insecure … this is what enemy wishes.”
Elsewhere in his address, Ayatollah Khatami pointed to the Egyptian nation’s resistance against the US government’s message that it would cut its aid in case Zionist regime’s interests are put at stake. “The anti-Zionism stances of the Egyptian revolutionaries is very praise worthy.”
On conditions in Bahrain and continued suppression of the People by Saudis and al-Khalifa dynasty, Ayatollah Khatami said Bahraini people are logical in wanting to decide their fate. “They wish to see the cause `Every Bahraini one vote’ is materialized. The al-Khalifa and al-Saud, however, respond the call of the Bahraini people with suppression and torture.”
Also praising resistance of the Yemeni people against conspiracies of al-Saudi and the US, he said Yemeni people are resisting their dictator for six months and this is the right path.
He then referred to Zionists’ attack on the caravan of aid shipment to Gaza people, saying Gaza is on siege for four years, and international organizations do not raise even a single word of protest despite the fact that Gazans face acute food and medicine shortages.
International organizations are now inefficient for their affiliation to powers and countries should think on forming new organizations, he said.
On eavesdropping in the UK, he said the country claiming to defend human rights, once again showed that it not only attaches no respect to rights of people in other countries but also violates rights of its citizens.
“It seems that genocide has turned into an institutionalized norm for Britons,” said the Ayatollah while referring to suspicious murder of the reporter unveiling eavesdropping by the company affiliated to Robert Murdoch.
He also condemned the US police act in shooting an American black to death by five bullets for refraining to pay bus fare.
As Americans outcry defending human rights, the person is killed, which shows human rights has no value for Americans and they want to abuse it, he added.
Also he referred to Majlis act of issuing sanctions against several US officials involved in war crimes, terrorism and smuggle of drugs, saying, “We hope such a valuable act would be passed by Majlis as soon as possible.”
