The Antarctica Challenge:
A Global Warning
by Mark Terry
This disturbing documentary goes to the source of the climate change crisis: Antarctica. The environmental challenges that face that frozen continent, and by extension, the world, are explored first hand. The film reveals many startling new scientific revelations such as new vegetation growing in the world’s largest desert, new data on the ozone hole, diminishing populations of land animals and marine life, suicide among penguins, and the dangerously increasing melting of Antarctica’s land ice. It was filmed on an expedition to Antarctica to report on the new discoveries made by the world’s scientific community stationed in Antarctica during International Polar Year from March 2007 — March 2009.
Wheelchair accessible around the corner at 411 28th Street
$5 donations are accepted
