§Change of Location!
by WRAP
We are now meeting at Union Square, rather than Market and Montgomery. Meet under the pillar in the middle of the square (dedicated to the US invasion of the Philippines).
The web site linked to in the above announcement is a blog with the latest post dated January 5, 2009 and is in relation to the then-ongoing attack on Gaza. There's nothing there about the topic of the demo being advertised here and no indication that the people whose blog it is or was have anything to do with this anonymously announced demo.

Anybody who happens to be in the area at the time announced for the demo might want to see if anything is actually happening there and post any comments here then (if possible) or later. But I can't imagine anyone going much out of their way to check it out unless more info is provided beforehand.
§Here's more information
by Bill Carpenter (wcarpent [at] ccsf.edu)
Good point as usual, Aaron - here's some more information I got in an email -- see you there!! Union Square, that is.

On Friday August 5th, 2011 at 4 pm in San Francisco's Union Square, impoverished
and working class people from throughout the West Coast along with allies from
Chicago and NYC are converging on the SF financial district to protest wall street’s role
in the financial crisis and the ensuing government divestment in social programs.
Named the “Great American TARP Tour”, this event consists of a cross section of the
United States, including involvement of impoverished communities, immigrants, union
members, communities of color, homeless people, and more. The Great American
TARP tour will include music, popular education, marching, dancing, and a tour of the
biggest culprits of dirty deeps and despair located in the financial district.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
