¿Qué es S-Comm (Comunidades Seguras)?
S-Comm es un programa que permite a la policía local cotejar las huellas dactilares de un individuo que ha sido arrestado con los registros contenidos en la base de datos del Servicio de Inmmigración y Ciudadanía del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS). En caso de existir un registro, El Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas de Estados Unidos (ICE) será notificado automáticamente, incluso en casos en que la persona no haya sido condenad por un delito, y ésta corre el riego de ser deportada
What is S-Comm (Secure Communities)?
S-Comm is a program that allows local police to check the fingerprints of an individual they are booking into a jail against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) immigration databases. If there is a “hit” in an immigration database, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is automatically notified, even if the person has not been convicted of any criminal act and could be deported.
