Our debt ceiling, Medicare, our Seniors and health and safety issues in our Nation
Millions of decent, hard working United States citizens have paid into Medicare and other benefits linked to their hard earned pensions. Now, many of them are worried about the Debt Ceiling and related issues. We need some solution to address our Debt Ceiling by August 2, 2011. The Democrats and the Republicans - cannot go on with the blame game forever. Some one must step up and take the leadership role. It may be true that President George W. Bush wasted billions - but, that could also be said of President Barrack Hussein Obama. Bottom line - the people that paid their taxes - mostly the middle class - should not be left out in the dark and bleed to death.
Recently, I chanced upon a Federal Debt Explainer - a kind of 101 explanation that points to the various factors that have contributed to our deficit and the possibility of a "default" come August 2, 2011. If something drastic is not done to raise the debt ceiling - there will be untold hardship. They consequences and adverse impacts will impact - mostly the middle class.

Recently, I was in Washington D.C. and among other things was concerned about my Federal Benefits - having worked for the United States Federal Government.
While I was there in Washington D.C. - there were large advertisement pointing that Federal workers should be aware that the United States government was going to take away our hard earned - Federal Benefits.
Some of us are aware that right now without our permission - billions of dollar from our Federal Pension Fund is being used to pay the Federal Debt. This money is borrowed and the experts I met say - the money will be put back - but, who gave them the permission to touch the money?
The Secretary of the Treasury says he is borrowing the money and that no harm will come to our pensions. But, it does worry the millions of Federal workers - such as myself; that really have no say - and some one thinks they can dip into the cookie jar and do as they - please.
Some years ago - mostly during the end years of the Clinton administration our Nation was doing well. Many were predicting that our Nation would continue having a surplus - and that all would be well.
Then just like a Atomic Bomb - dumb, President George W. Bush Jr. decided to go to war on two fronts and within months - our Nation was bled billions of dollars every single month.
All that money could have been spent on our Seniors, our children and their education, on our aging infrastructure, on things that are needed - that we all know as Quality of Life issues.
Moodys the guys that rate our bonds - have been saying that our Nation will not go into default.
Even, if there is a brief period of haggling - between the Republicans and the Democrats - the matter will be resolved as early as July 8, 2011 if not before July 4, 2011. I hope so.
The last time around - when we all found out what Wall Street had done - without our permission - the tax payers of America bailed out the banks and the large financial institutions. In the end and until today - we, the tax payers got shafted and the banks and the large financial institution are sitting on trillions of dollars - waiting to come out with their machinations to make more money.
Credit Card mongers, the banks, other lending institution have been blessed by Congress, the Senate, and the White House. All these entities are fully aware the people are suffering - but, look the other way. Karma is coming your way - and it is already on your door step.
The U.S. Government and the White House has been very kind to the rogue banks and the financial institutions.
The U.S. Government and the White House has NOT been kind to the hard working, tax paying - decent citizens of the United States of America.
If the U.S. Government and White House were compassionate and valued the citizenship and contribution of its own citizens - millions of people would not be suffering today. First the loss of jobs, secondly the fore closures of millions of homes, thirdly the loss of their fiscal assets and among them pensions linked to their 401 K savings.
Many of the savings linked to pension were invested with large financial institution that were "trusted".
They all turned out to be crooks.
Some, hard working, retired folks lost all their savings. Now at retirement age they have to survive and start all over again. Millions of decent, tax paying Americans - today are in that category. Does President Barrack Hussein Obama, the Congress, the Senate, the U.S. Treasury, the Federal Bank authorities - real care about the citizens of America and the middle class that makes most things - tick?
Federal workers that were promised benefits be it their retirement savings, their health benefits, their pensions, Medicare and so forth - should not be reneged upon by the U.S. Government and by mostly the Republicans - who are targeting the Seniors.
Our Nation is one of laws and principles - you just do not put things in writing and make a statement and commitment - and then all of sudden target a segment of the population that has paid their dues. There are organizations such as AARP, National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) that have been doing a good job. There are other Federal Organizations that are also doing a good job.
The problem is that the Secretary of the Treasury has taken upon himself - to use his emergency powers to tap into our funds without our permission - which I find - not to be proper and befitting some Departments that should know better.
America is a large country, with large resources - but, some where along the line we sold our talents and independence linked to our business, our independence, our values, our standards to China and other countries that are preying on our consumers. Countries that subdue their citizens, subsidize their production, and dump inferior products on our shores.
It is time - we feel proud of our products and stop importing the junk - we import.
Most of it inferior and not worth much.
Disgusting that we cannot produce souvenirs made in the United States - our flags, our pins, our models of our monuments, are made in China of inferior and I would add polluted materials.
We import all that junk - and do not ponder to think about our pride and the respect that we should have for our Nation.
The time has come to control our spending - we have on dollar in our pocket and keep buying stuff on credit worth thousands.
Just like the many that use their Credit Cards - we are becoming a Nation of materialism and greed - and some countries such as China are having a field day. This nonsense must stop. The values and standards that the Chinese have - are not comparable to our standards, the Chinese mentality thinks, and more the way the do business.
Our U.S. Government must stop giving China free access to everything - these vermin are now invading our Cyberspace and invading our privacy. If they are caught one more time - strict restriction must be put on their movement and their ability to invade our shores with their inferior products.
But, what are we to say of our own U.S. Government that treats its own citizens with disdain.
On the other hand no respect - what so ever is being given to our Seniors, our children and their education, the health of everyone.
Insurance companies are having a field day when it comes to health premiums.
Today, those of us that worked for the Federal Government have no say about the premium - if you want Senior Advantage for example and belong to a Health Maintenance Organization - you can pay over $900 month for two - and the money is just taken from your benefits. Some pay as hight as $1500 a month.
