Friday, Jun 3, 5pm, Free Speech and Democracy Sidewalk Rally, Alhambra & S St., Sacramento. Help the Co-op on its Anti-Depression Friday to Lift the Spirit of Humanity by asking its Board and Management to end the tabling ban, let the Members vote, and support everyone's human rights! Co-op Members have fulfilled the Co-op Bylaws requirements to put two measures for a vote of the full membership on the upcoming annual September ballot. In violation of the Bylaws, the Co-op Board is refusing to put those measures on the ballot. One of these is the Human Rights Initiative that would allow Co-op Members vote on whether they want their store to support Palestinian human rights by not carrying Israeli products until Israel stops violating those rights. The Co-op management is also prohibiting anyone from tabling in front of the Co-op in support of Palestinian human rights. Instead, it is allowing ONLY the Israel lobby’s viewpoint to be shared in front of the store.
