Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. has the pandemonium of an open air market.

by Francisco Da Costa
Capitol Hill is not a place you want to be these days. Too many folks just coming to visit the place as if it is an open air market. More people buying stuff from the Gift Store - and less interested in the deliberations on the floor. While I was here there were some important deliberations on Medicare and about the Palestinian and Israeli on going saga - that is detrimental to those that are poor. The Israeli Prime Minister spoke for more then an hour - a one sided speech - that was mostly all talk and less walk. A few days later President Barrack Hussein Obama - left Washington D.C. to visit Ireland, the United Kingdom, and is now in France with the G-8 stakeholders doing excellent work.

There used to be a time when the deliberations on Capitol Hill were worth hearing and sitting down for a session or more was good use of one's time and more sound education on the politics of the time and the policies that affect this great Nation - we call the United States of America.

I was on Capitol Hill and was interested in the Medicare Bill - and it always amazes me how some of the Republicans will put their foot in their mouth, spew diatribe, swear they are speaking the truth and tell blatant LIES.

The Republicans still maintain that giving huge tax breaks to the rich is the right thing to do.

Three percent of the filthy rich in American control over forty percent of the total wealth - and this equation is bad. Soon we will have the very rich and the very poor. The middle class that makes any Nation is eroding - and when that happen all hell will break loose.

For those that care - Medicare is alive and well today - and will be for some years to come.

If anyone dares touch Social Security and Medicare - they will be dealing with fire. One Republican seat has already fallen to the Democrats and the woman candidate - just focused on Medicare and won hands down.

The House passed the $960 billion House Appropriation Defense Bill - many Bills are debated in circles - and when the time comes to vote - if you are astute - you know that the lobbyists have done their work, greased the palms of those needed to - and the Treasury will print the bills - and come what may the Department of Defense is laughing to the bank - for all the wrong reasons.

I want to see over a million dollars set aside for each military family that has a daughter or son badly injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan war and related operations world wide.

I want to see 5 million dollars set aside for each soldier that is in hospital and will be released with a permanent, very serious disability.

These Representative were quick to go to war - especially the Iraq war - where we had no business messing with Iraq and creating untold misery in the surrounding area.

The Republicans and former President George W. Bush Jr. does not want to take credit for this total blunder. Today, their actions has impacted - millions of innocent Americans.

Today, we a Superpower are beholden to the Chinese - who mock us and want to control us. The Chinese will be in for a surprise. Never ever disown the American Genius - we have done it before and we will arise to the fore - and tackle the Paper Tiger.

If we as a great Nation understand anything - we must first take care of our Elders, the Physically Challenged, the students that are offered inferior education, the banks and financial institutions like Goldman Sachs - that prey on Credit Card holders, and the many so called Materialistic morasses that occupy the corrupt and crooked who exploit - millions of innocent Americans.

Fore Closures continue to increase by the millions - and people really have no money to invest in any type of meaningful Real Estate. It is all the more difficult for first time buyers.

Capitol Hill did nothing much to curtail - large financial institution like Goldman Sachs and even today cannot do anything much. Goldman Sachs continues to created turmoil on the market garnering billions for some - by projecting numbers that affect all commodities - be is beef, wheat, minerals, and of course oil.

These money mongers - despised by many - can send a salvo that can spiral oil prices to a low $34 a barrel and if they desire up it to $147 - with a blink of any eye.

Congress knows how to deal with these skunks but does nothing - but, believe me this will not be for long. There is only so much any one entity or more involved with blatant corruption of the highest order - can inflict on innocent people.

The present gas price at the gas stations is ridiculous - more in California.

Congress and the Senate comprehend this some - and even as our Nation is in dire economic straits -Congress permits crooks to make vast sums of money.

Just ask Representative David Levine - he will give you the details of these money mongers that do not have the better interest of Americans.

That is why you saw the dumb so called Representatives stand up 26 times and salute the Prime Minister of Israel - who was spewing some vitriol when it came to the Palestinians and those that cannot move freely in their own home country - going back thousands of years.

How can anyone rejoice - by keep innocent folks for over sixty years - living in slums? How can you have generation after generation living in poverty? How can you have strangers occupying land - quoting the Bible which had nothing to do with Real Estate, owing land, and dirty Israeli fake politics?

Capitol Hill is a circus - and one must not waste too much time - trying to understand the on going morass - there is only so much; those on Capitol Hill can do.Today, it is like an airport - with so many different entities - doing so much and yet affording our Nation - so little security.

Capitol Hill with very poor leadership sends a wrong signal to the Nation - each and every day.

We pass the Patriot Act but in reality we treat our own citizens with disdain.

People are fed up - really NO one is free and the vain talk of the Representatives is such that.

For themselves they get all the benefits and more - but, when it comes to the constituents of this great Nation - we are held hostage.

I fully comprehend security, logistics, etiquette when it comes to these operations - and what I see on Capitol Hill and at the other Governmental Buildings - is a mockery of the law.

There is only so much garbage the people will tolerate - today, the people speak openly against the dumb protocol; and when the young speak against the process - so know something must give - already some Representatives are speaking out - but the majority as dame luck would have it - continue to hold the majority hostage.

While in Washington D.C. and on the way to the Library of Congress - I witnessed many buses and lots of folks mostly White and in the midst of them chanced to see Sarah Palin. There you go again - " I look out of my window and there I see Putin entering Alaskan air space and of course I know most everything".

I predict Barrack Hussein Obama will win a second term - and come out stronger from his European tour with the G-8.

While hear my meetings are very fruitful - few here encounters folks from California who can pin point and have solutions on many fronts. Mostly, the paper pushers take instructions, initiative has been curbed by policies and protocol that is taking our great Nation - backwards.

Of course making all this possible - are our Representatives who have no clue how the real world works. Not just America but the world - technology has made our world small and most everything is in our backyard.
