Proposition G and The War
On Transit/Public Workers In San Francisco
May 22 (Sunday), 2011 2:00 PM
522 Valencia St./16th St.
San Francisco
(Donation Requested)
In San Francisco Proposition G was passed by the
support of union busters and corporate controlled
politicians. At the same time, SF MUNI MTA-
TWU Local 250-A operators have been scapegoat-
ed in a racist campaign against the largely Black,
Latino and Asian workforce. Prop G has also made
it virtually impossible for TWU 250-A bus drivers
and other MTA MUNI workers to negotiate about
their work conditions and their health and safety.
The SF city bosses have also been trying to elimi-
nate citywide seniority and outsource thousands of
jobs while the city union officials have driven con-
cession bargaining forward.
Proposition G is exactly what Wisconsin governor
Scott Walker is doing as well and Newsom/Willie
Brown’s handpicked mayor Ed Lee is pushing for-
ward with more attacks on SF city workers.
The forum will have speakers from TWU 250 A
and other SF city workers about the anti-labor as-
sault including privatization of city services, who
is responsible, and what we should do about it. SF
TWU 250-A contract expires on July 1, 2011 and
all SF City workers, transit workers and all public
workers need to unite to fight back together.
Speakers From:
Muni TWU 250 A -Dorian Maxwell
SEIU 1021 speakers
IFPTE Local 21 members
SF City Painter Doug Bias
UESF Christy Morrison and other SF city workers
