No movement on single homes all over this Nation - the same holds good in the Bay Area.

by Francisco Da Costa
San Franciscans are astute. As smart as many of us may think we are - we must; be vigilant against Big Developers. For sure watch like a hawk; the Rogue Developer - Lennar. We must always remember - LENNAR bombarded our children, our Elders, those with compromised immune systems at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - and did not apologize. Now, Lennar is getting ready to DUMP the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard project - and is pussyfooting about developing Treasure Island. We have over 30,000 good homes vacant in San Francisco - and a few miles away from SF - in the Bay Area and beyond - thousands of homes in foreclosure. Go Figure!
The New York Times gives a pretty good report about single homes and the doldrum situation prevailing in this area - all over the Nation. Big home construction are hurting and that includes in the Bay Area and with the Rogue Developer - Lennar.

Lennar is getting ready to DUMP the project at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard.

No more can LENNAR get the financing from the SF Redevelopment Agency.

Also, the support from the sell outs the likes of Aurelious Walker, Linda Richardson, Veronica Hunicutt, Lola Whittle, the many other Poverty Pimp Pastors - the well has dried up.

Now, Lennar is lining up the Carpenters Union and other dubious folks - that talks about jobs but this economy will simply not permit Rogue Developers to make any headway. The Banks will not loans to dubious Developers and those in authority must understand the dynamics of this economy.

Let me put it simply - now to borrow a hundred dollars you need sixty percent equity. Go Figure!

Before, you had the SF Redevelopment doing the dirty deed and help the crooks - now, that is all over.

Governor Jerry Brown has nailed the Redevelopment Agencies and with its demise the many corrupt folks that worked in these agencies.

These folks blighted their conscience and did more harm than good to those areas - where gentrification was used as a ploy to destroy "people of color" and their - "neighborhoods".

The New York Times mentions Lennar in this articles and if we read between the lines - Lennar is hurting - and it is just a matter of time before Lennar goes under:

Our Main Media in San Francisco - does not do any investigative reporting when it comes to Big Developers. It has become fashionable for the Main Media to work with Big Developers and large Financial Institution and work against the COMMONS and those that make Middle America.

Our Television favors those that pay them for their advertisements - and we have seen this - over and over again.

Lennar spent $5 million fighting the community favoring Proposition G - I was the proponent of Proposition F - and we spent $10 thousand!

In the end TRUTH prevails and that is why today we have peace of mind and good health - LENNAR is drowning the CESSPOOL of their own making.

We know for sure that twenty five percent of the Nation wealth is controlled by two percent of the filthy rich - and most of them do not pay their fair share of taxes.

Well, Lennar is one Corporation with so many Limited Liability Corporations to back it - that when it was investigated, recently - the Government found out exactly what I have been saying for ages - it is a Rogue Developer.

Now, Lennar is pushing the envelop and wants to build Treasure Island - ignoring liquefaction, flooding, the impending Tsunami. The most important fact the clean up of Treasure Island that is very polluted.

The Department of Toxic and Substances Control, the Regional Water Board, the Environmental Protection Agency all know about this factor - and those SF Planning Commissioners ( all appointed by the Mayor) should be ashamed of themselves for voting for the development of Treasure Island.

The Environmental Impact Report before the April 22, 2011 meeting held at 6 pm in Room 250 was completely - flawed. So many pertinent changes, nothing much about a sound Transportation Document, and of course no standards applied to liquefaction, flooding and the mitigation and abatement of a very contaminated - Treasure Island.

This Nation is hurting - and we must not permit Lennar and others developers linked to Willie L. Brown Jr., the Platinum Consultants, others dubious in nature to bring the downfall of San Francisco and our local - economy.

Lennar has a bad track record.

Witness what happened in Vallejo and Mare Island in our back yard. Witness what is happen at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. And, now our City officials and Department such as the SF Planning Department - are permitting this fake development at Treasure Island.

The blood of those that will be adversely impacted is on the hands of those corrupt officials who take money and fail to vote for what is right and with a moral conscience - one that is not tainted.

Shame of SF Planning Commissioners Ron Miguel, Michael Antonini, Gwyneth Borden, and Rodney Fong.

Shame on the Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA) all appointees of the Mayor and the corruption that is fostered within this very corrupt entity of sorts.

San Franciscans must be vigilant and attend the Land Use Meeting on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 1 pm.

Here is the New York Times report again on single homes and the general situation prevailing in the housing industry:
