The State Park by Candlestick Park and the on going erosion - now imagine a Tsunami

by Francisco Da Costa
The State Park by Candlestick Park and the on going erosion. A good example for those that live in San Francisco - take a tour of the on the on going erosion and the large junks of roadway and earth that has been swallowed by the Bay. When the Big One strikes there will be pandemonium - and especially if we think the Office of Emergency Service will deliver. These jerks talk a lot - but lack any sound plan - worth the salt.
Often time when those that respect Mother Earth warn you about stuff like liquefaction, flooding, the Tsunami - people mostly ignorant pooh, pooh; the statements and the warnings.

Then when it happens - the small tremors, or earthquakes that we hear of in far away places - everyone is perturbed for a few days and then it is back to business.

That is what the human being, short sighted, especially those lacking spirituality and absorbed with materialism and mundane thoughts and ideas - less concepts.

However, this time it will happen in our backyard - the rock and rolling. We did get a very strong warning in 1989 that the Big One is near at hand.

Take a tour of the State Park by Candlestick Park. The State Park is not open every day as before, because of the State fiscal crisis - but, you can park nearby and head for the Bay. You can choose to park by the State Park - at a location opposite Candlestick Park Stadium.

A good spot that will not fail you - is Jackrabbit Picnic Spot - from there it is but five minutes to the Bay and you can get a very good look at the on going - erosion.

Then look around and check the destruction of Mother Earth over the last five years. Every time it rains - the roads leading to Candlestick Stadium are knee high in water. Folks that park their vehicles near by during a game and when it is raining heavily - know what I am talking about.

Well, the entire area is landfill. And at one it was a large garbage dump - when you could dump anything; however contaminated - that was before the Environmental Protection Agency was created and came out with some policies and guidelines - as to what could be dumped and what could not.

There were even less strict laws governing the watershed - and other sound Environmental Principles that today we take for granted. Dangerous particulates, Methane Gas that spews into the air today in smaller amount - use to be large amounts ten years ago. Now the vent the entire State Park.

Recently, I have brought to the attention of the City Department Heads - the large potholes in and around Executive Park, the road leading north of Highway 180 and so on.

When the authorities decide to patch the pot holes - within days - the holes get bigger then before. Big enough for a car to get stuck - which has happened many times.

The main reason is the salt in the water that erodes the asphalt and is a signal that the bay wants to revert back from whence it was.

The idiots that run our City - think it is a joke to build tall building on land; near the bay - prone to liquefaction and talk about building dikes and other such walls to keep the water away.

The recent Tsunami is Japan - showed the world the force of the water and that is what is going to happen - imagine Candlestick falling apart - and then slowly floating in the Bay. That day is near at hand - and our folks want to build tall buildings by the Bay.

Also, the Bay by Candlestick Park is in very close proximity to Hunters Point Shipyard and Yosemite Slough - all of which San Franciscans know little about - and more, do not have the time to check out the facts.

The Radiological Contamination will devour the entire City of San Francisco - and you can check this information with the United States Geological Survey (USGS). They have complete maps with what will occur - flooding, liquefaction, but for your readers the facts linked to the radiological contamination will shock you - all.

Hunters Point is a Superfund Site - meaning put on a list where the worst contamination is present - in this case most of it radiological in nature.

Experiments that led to the making of the Atomic Bomb took place at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. Depleted Uranium was tested at the Shipyard in large quantities.

Ships that took part in the Atomic Experiments conducted at the Bikini Islands - were towed to Hunters Point Naval Shipyard and cleaned up. Radiological contaminants - from the the sand blasting - contaminated the bay and the entire Shipyard. The contaminants were buried all over the Shipyard - such are the shameful acts of the U.S. Navy.

One Atomic Bomb assembled at Hunters Point left the Shipyard and was dropped on Japan - during World War II.

The circle is now making one more round - what happened in Japan will happen in San Francisco - it is just a matter of time.

When it happens this City will not be prepared.

Recently we had a fire near Eddy Street - near the Office of Emergency Services - the idiots could not access the back up computers because of the power failure.

Some one had the "password" and the other idiots were looking at one another - and did not know what to do.

We know in 1906 and again in 1989 the Army - that is the United States Army at the Presidio of San Francisco - really came to the rescue of the City and County of San Francisco. The Army is no more and there is a large avoid of idiots pretending to comprehend emergency services and operations. We saw this with the mishap of the Cosco Busan, we saw it again with some incidents involving Pacific Gas and Electricity, we saw it recently but before that too many times to make mention of the facts in detail.

We know that this City does not have readily available heavy equipment to move heavy stuff.

We know that easily over 200,000 homes in the Avenue will topple down - most built on sand and their foundations - weak.

We know from observation this City will not be able to take care of the community - especially, the poor segments. Openly, recently there was discussion that those in Public Housing, the Elderly in Senior Housing - were not considered as part of the evacuation plan - such, blatant disregard in the policies and the leadership - is shameful but those that waste millions - conducting some fake scenarios in preparations, having workshops, paying consultants - have not addressed the tip of the iceberg.

We know that there will be looting and judging from the weapons the miscreants have at their disposal - it will be survival of the fittest.

The jerks that run the Office of Emergency Service are just that.

It all started will Ann Marie Conroy, then the succeeding buffoons - they talk the talk but cannot walk the walk.

Then you have the succeeding Mayors from Willie L. Brown Jr., down to the Interim Mayor we have today - trying to say something but failing to understand the situation at hand - linked to concrete Emergencies, the Big One, and even minor incidents that this folks cannot comprehend.

When the Big One strikes is will be about action and not about policies, regulations, and lack of leadership - which is what is happening today at the Office of Emergency Services. Mostly, White Folks who do not know what the fuck is happening.
